I’d like to help as many people as possible start feeling better, whether it’s by helping you overcome anxiety, conquer panic attacks or improving your self-esteem. Let’s not let geographical distances be an issue! Once we start our hypnosis session, your eyes are closed and the only communication between us is through voice, so hypnotherapy is perfectly suited to be done remotely. Nowadays, an increasing number of therapists and coaches are also doing their work on Skype and phone. My Skype clients have include people from within the U.S, and far out into Asia. Which means that if you can’t get to my clinic in Los Gatos, CA then getting onto a Skypnosis session may be the perfect solution for you!

Benefits of using Skype – If you are new to Skype then all you need to know is that it is a free service which allows you to make video calls to other Skype users anywhere in the world, free of charge. You can still enjoy the full benefits that come from working one on one with me, yet from the comfort of your own home or office. I have found that as long as therapist and client have developed good rapport, then hypnosis by Skype works brilliantly.

Remote sessions are just as effective as in-person sessions

Skype, Telephone – Your session can be done in-person, by phone, or by Skype. If by phone, I will call you and the costs are included in my fee. No need to worry about long-distance charges.

A simple cell phone headset is recommended; otherwise, a speaker phone, computer speakers, or laptop speakers works. All you need is a good internet connection.

Fees and Session Length – Session fees are same as in person meetings. An initial session is usually 1 hour in length and aims to bring full realization of your goal where possible. Follow-on sessions could be shorter or longer as needed. Generally, we spend the first half of the discussion talking, followed by hypnosis in the second half.

If you’re not sure whether hypnotherapy is right for you, you can schedule a complementary 15-minute call with me.

Preparation – It’s good to select an appointment time for when you are:

  • Well rested (after a good night’s sleep) and naturally (not from caffeine) high mental energy.  If you are not well rested, the mind has more challenge in focusing and a more difficult time accessing positive perspectives.
  • Not caffeinated. Avoid coffee two hours before a session. Caffeine activates the nervous system and the mind, which can work against the hypnosis, which is focused relaxation.
  • Less stressed than at perhaps other times in your day or week. This makes it easier to relax. For people with a stressful day job during the week, a weekend late morning or afternoon is often an optimal time.
